Thymosin Alpha-1: Immune Support Peptide Guide
Thymosin Alpha-1 (Tα1) is a 28-amino-acid peptide naturally produced by the thymus gland — the immune system’s “master trainer” that programs T-cells to recognize and fight pathogens. As we age, the thymus gland shrinks (a process called thymic involution), leading to declining Tα1 levels and progressively weaker immune function. This is one reason why older adults are more susceptible to infections, slower to recover, and less responsive to vaccines.
